Varicose veins are those sore, twisted and swollen veins you can see underneath the skin. While in the vast majority of cases, varicose veins occur in the legs, they can also form on other parts of your body. Varicose veins are a fairly common condition, and are often asymptomatic. However, in some cases they can cause complications such as blood clots, ulcers and pain. They can also be the cause of concern due to their physical appearance, often limiting what you can wear and feel comfortable in.
